It comes fairly naturally. Most of their studies come fairly naturally. Flying has been a struggle (he can't count the number of times he's nearly fallen off his broom), but the core of things--Charms, Potions, Transfiguration--made sense on a level he couldn't quite explain.
Which makes it wonderful and difficult, he's sure, to have Horatio Hornblower as a partner in Potions.
He can't explain, half the time, what it is he's doing. He can't make clear why he holds mortar and pestle as he does or how to adjust a flame when the directions give no proper hint. Then again, he tends to do well enough that coasting is probably easy.
Except for now, apparently. He frowns down at the opalescent sheen between them, brow wrinkled in complete frustration. "I'm not sure it's-- quite right."
