This was...not the place he expected to be in the least. In the great hall at the school he'd once thought of as home. The place where he'd found his true purpose. He was on his feet in a heartbeat, ready to demand just why he was here. But a quick glance around stalled his tongue. Even at the Slytherin table where he'd appeared, there were looks of confusion, some more shocked than himself. Slowly, he sat down, intent to see just what was at play here. Borgin and Burke's could wait. For now.
II. In Class and After
There was much trepidation in allowing him to teach, but he was nothing if not relentless. The anti-curse protections ensure that his lessons will be theory and theory alone. Should any teacher check in on him will find his lessons are completely as advertised: no wands allowed, only lively discussions and lectures on the effects of the darkest magic out there. He does, however, mention in the earliest lessons that students are expected to keep at least a few hours of their Hogsmeade visits free, but does not expand upon this. He is always willing to linger after class, to speak with any of his students that wish further information. Each and every one of them hand picked for his class.
III. Teacher's Lounge
Having no doubt that some of the other teachers may be suspicious, he makes no attempt to hide. He spends his time among them, just as anyone else would. He has his coffee. He smiles and makes small talk. He is as charming as he'd been as a student, disarming and pleasant.
IV. After Hours
Everyone knows students should not be out of bed, but he's not a student any longer. A fact that he relishes in. He strolls confidently through the corridors, as if merely heading to finally turning after a late night of grading papers. Most nights he has one goal, and one goal only in mind. As a teacher, he now has free reign of the restricted section. And the Hogwarts library holds tomes unseen anywhere else in the world. It's merely research for future lessons. That's all.
