Hogwarts: A Jamjar Meme
![]() HOGWARTS: A JAMJAR MEME Wizards of all ages and from all times: whatever you were doing, wherever you were - none of that matters now. You've been brought to Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. You’ll find yourself in the Great Hall under a starry sky, illuminated by the light of a thousand candles. What happened? Why were you brought here? How were you brought here? All questions to be answered, perhaps. But first, mingle with your kind and find a seat for yourself. This will be your home for a while. Because there is no leaving. Student, staff, you with nothing to do - all of you trapped inside the school grounds. Sorting to houses & Start-of-term feast Those of you who have not been sorted into your houses, you're guided to sit on a stool while an old hat will contemplate a proper house for you. After, you can join your housemates at their long table. The ghost of the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, will soon give a speech once the last student is sorted... "The very best of evenings to you! Now… to our new students, welcome. To our old students, welcome back! Another year full of magical education awaits you…" He will warn you about the anti-curse charm set upon Hogwarts and how it will bring harm in equal measures to yourself. He will urge you to stay calm and have a lemondrop; they’ll be provided at all tables. Dumbledore would like you all to note few things, Hogwarts attendees: 1. This will be a continuous, no commitment necessary “storyline.” What does that mean? Depending on the level of interest, there will be at least one post per month on the 3B-DR that will continue the storyline which begins here. Players are encouraged to make top-levels in the dressing room if they want to keep this verse going with their characters. Madame Rosmerta’s made a tag specifically for this. 2. Multiple versions of characters at various ages are welcome. Whether that means there’s three Harry’s all in fifth year, or one Harry in first year, a second in third year, and a third in sixth year is up to you. All three Harry’s could also interact, depending on player preferences. AU versions of (HP)canon and non-(HP)canon characters are also welcome. Sometimes people disappear from Hogwarts and sometimes they come back. 3. Schoolwork Dumbledore's ghost will invite all characters of age and knowledge to teach their specialties to the younger wizards. If your character could be possibly a teacher, or is interested in teaching, refer to this thread to sign up for a teaching position. The courses do not need to be anything serious (unless you want them to be). If your character would be interested in a course, you can look it up from the character's toplevel. Your character doesn't need to be of student age to participate in courses. (They're free for all!) 4. Sign up for your house. Here is a thread for all the Hogwarts houses that your character could be sorted in. 5. This means… war! Are you a Death Eater? A member of the Order? Rival students? It’s likely your character will encounter someone they don’t get along with. Duels are fine, but beware that any attacks meant to cause harm (curses) will backfire on the caster. If your character doesn’t care that damage will also bounce back to them, then Dumbledore’s ghost will be intervening. He won’t tolerate harm to any of his students… even if it’s harm to Tom. 6. Housecup Of course points will be awarded and taken away by teachers and prefects. You can leave a comment in this thread for the points taken or given. Madam Rosmerta will add them up together for the next post. You can also sign up for a prefect role. Each house has one and that one will change in each post. First come, first serve is the rule, except if your character was a prefect in the last post, you can't sign up in this one.
Name in the title line. Do not leave an empty toplevel. Write a starter like you would to a game event. Link to preferences if you’d prefer. 2. Tag other characters The name of the game is interaction. Why is your character here? Do they want to be here? Are they being reunited with lost loved ones? 3. Have fun! Dumbledore (and Madame Rosmerta) is watching. Behave yourselves. Don’t godmod, infomod, respect other players, etc. |
it would be v interesting :}
"It's a habit," he admits. "You're nine years older than I am, and we were introduced when I was twelve. Formalities weren't so strictly enforced, at first."
At first. So he's willfully being a shithead just to rile her up here, yes.
Maybe they screwed around maybe they didn't wHO KNOWS."Why do you think you'd get married if you didn't want to?" Severus has always wondered.
plot twist! just imagine the possibilities x)
She should stomp on Severus for the mere principle of this assumed familiarity alone."Why should I believe you?" The look she gives him is a sour one, her temper flaring yet again. Suddenly she's moving, making her way toward the exit of the common room, expecting him to follow. "You who are nothing more than a complete stranger to me?"
no subject
Probably. She must have thought the situation was funny, anyway, because tales of Bellatrix being tolerant of ickle Severus made 'blood traitor' Sirius hit the roof. And, he doesn't say, Narcissa liked him. That helped. But hiding behind her sister's skirts won't get him anywhere in this conversation.
"Who says I need you to believe me?"
Severus just looks at her.
no subject
(She'll conveniently ignore her amusement from earlier, thank you.)
"I do," she says, turning to look at him. "In fact, I think you want it desperately."
Does she? No. Likely he cares very little whether she does or not, but she needs to find something. Something to latch on to and use as leverage. There's always a topic that will make a person lose their composure, and he clearly knows ways to make her lose hers. Far too many times in such a short period.

--Compliment, or?? Could be. Could also be that he's politely suggesting she's out of her mind.
"Desperately," he echoes as he finally moves, walking past her in almost a glide, surprisingly graceful for someone who looks so distinctly unfortunate. "Wouldn't you like that."
Severus slips past her out of the common room.

Suffer through the way she nearly glows with a smug pleasure, Severus, even as she slips out of the room after him.
"Oh, I would," she breathlessly admits, falling into stride with him. There are so very few people out here, with it being evening time. After hours has never deterred her from sneaking out before. What's to stop her, reprimand? Detention?
She cuts him a look. "I imagine you'd squirm, the more unbearable it became."

The wide variety of generations milling the grounds mean that the reactions of students who pass them can be-- interesting. Mostly shock and wonder seeing the two of them, if they're both recognized, with a scattering of business-as-usual 'Hello, Professor' nods and once young man who chokes on a gasp and stares, horrified, as Severus makes his way to his office. He ignores the kid. Crikey.
"I'm afraid I'm not beholden in such a way to beautiful women," he says, and stops with his hand on the door. "Are you following me, Ms Black?"
(That kid is still staring. Severus wills him to leave before Bella tries to eat him.)

All the students milling about are ignored. She'd noticed the strange looks in the Great Hall--a mixture of unveiled dislike, fear, and surprise. Concerning, if only because she can't recall any of the reasons why she might've earned such open hostility. What's amusing, however, are the reactions to him. Like a curious bird, her head tilts at one boy's unabashed reaction to the professor. Dear Merlin, he looks as if he's about to piss himself.
"Is that to say you are to beautiful men, instead?"
The roundabout compliment barely phases her. How many people are fixated on looks? She already knows she and her sisters are attractive, it's the Black line's genes which makes it so. Bella, however, does not have the kind heart of her sisters. Patience thinning, she snaps at the boy, "Go away!" before turning her focus back onto Severus.
Her chin tilts up. "So what if I am?"
no subject
It's not really a compliment, anyway. She's beautiful. It's a fact like simple arithmetic, and likewise is the fact that Severus doesn't care. (Hypothetically: he'd care more about it in men than in women, simply because men are given too much leeway in all things, in his opinion. But it's only hypothetical, as there's not exactly a queue forming to bang Professor Jerkface.)
An eyebrow raises when she barks at the student (who skitters at once).
"Awfully presumptuous."
